NEW ALBUM “INSPIRATIONS” WITH MY JAZZ ENSEMBLE

Discover my music by listening to my album INSPIRATIONS! I recorded my compositions with my jazz group, and I was lucky enough to have two prestigious guests: Didier Lockwood and Sébastien Giniaux!

La making of my jazz album

This CD is the culmination several years of musical work. I had been thinking about it for a long time, and it took me a long time to gather the jazz musicians who were suitable for this project. But as soon as I managed to form my jazz group, I decided to go for it! I hadn’t expected such an obstacle course, nor a result that I like so much!

MY JAZZ ENSEMBLE and GUESTS

You will find on this jazz album my compositions arranged for jazz quartet with Joran Cariou on the piano, Fabricio Nicolas on the double bass, Nicolas Charlier on drums. These are the musicians who also accompany me on stage. There is also a trio piece where Joran plays the organ.
Some guests also on this disc: voice Rodrigue Vera Ortiz, Sébastien Giniaux on the guitar, and the great Didier Lockwood with whom I playviola!!!

 All these musicians have contributed in their own way to the quality of this jazz album which, I hope, you will like…

THE GUEST MUSICIANS

I had the chance to have as a prestigious guest someone who has been a great inspiration to me on jazz violin: DIDIER LOCKWOOD! This gave me the opportunity to play a little viola on the album, since we play as a duet on the title “La Feuille.” I was very touched by his generosity to spontaneously participate in the recording!

SÉBASTIEN GINIAUX, excellent gypsy jazz guitarist, also came to play a very beautiful nylon guitar solo on the ballad “Loin de toi.” The finesse of his phrasing is breathtaking.

I am very happy with the participation of my partner Rodrigue Vera Ortiz, who does the backing vocals on a few songs. His musical aesthetic influenced me a lot in my compositions, and he guided and advised me a lot in all stages of the musical production of this album.

My compositions

Concerning the music: there are old compositions on this CD, others more recent… They reflect certain periods of my life, each piece brings back memories… To compose, I generally sit at the piano and I play chords while singing a melody, and the composition appears little by little. Sometimes the piece goes through several different versions before arriving at the final version, it can even take several months! But it’s a very interesting process.

INSPIRATIONS: the album release with my jazz band

I was very well supported for this album release: the French company VLF PRODUCTIONS and the Swiss jazz label UNIT RECORDS helped with the administrative part and the official release of the album.

First of all, this album was released with the label of < strong>swiss jazz UNIT RECORDS in October 2016 for a physical release in Switzerland-Germany-Austria, as well as the digital release. The company VLF PRODUCTIONS also ensured part of the production of this jazz album as well as the material distribution in France with UVM DISTRIBUTIONS.
